Program Highlights

Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®). You will explore the following syllabus that would articulate all you need to know.

Asana’s practice twise a day with the guidance of certified yoga teacher to achieve the perfection and use the belts to enhance the pose and flexibility, the certified teacher helps to adjust in proper asana pose according to the student flexibility and strength. Duration of one class must be minimum one and half hour and maximum two hours. Asana’s classes are balanced classes with two styles ashtanga vinyasa and hatha yoga. Mostly classes will be hatha yoga bcz hatha is base of all the asana’s practice. If you have any queries about allignment and adjustment you are free to ask after the completing the class, dont allow to ask between the class.
This class will help you to make aware about correct posture of the asana, how to adjust your student to enhance the posture of the asana, which part of the body you have hold and how much you have to press or adjust to reach the highest level of posture of the asana according to the flexibility and strength of your student and you will understand the importance of the adjustment and alignment techniques. This class will help you to aware of breathe in the asana, where you have to inhale and exhale bcz in the asana awareness of breathe is very important. This class will help you to demonstration the asana and you can practice with your class mate. This class will help to learn practically what to do before, how to start a class, how to design the balanced class, how to adjust, how to breathe and how to finish the class, what to do after completing the class. This class will help to learn which asanas are good for different body pains and which asanas can cure the disordes of internal body like digestion, reproduction system. This class will be held minimum one hour and maximum two hours depends on situation.
Pranayama has very important role in Yoga Teacher Training Course and in our normal life. Pranayama class will help you to control on your vital energy (breathe) and clean your body internally and externally. this class will help you to learn different techniques of pranayama . This class will help you to understand the meaning of pranayama, what is the importance of pranayama, how pranayama helps us to cure different diseases, how pranyama will help us to clean our astral tube (vessels), how pranayama helps us to relief from stess, how does pranayama helps us to control our mind and how pranyama helps us to increase the breathing capacity of our lungs.
In this class you will learn how to chant the mantra’s and how mantra’s enhance our physical, mental and spiritual levels. We will practice mantra chanting in Sanskrit language everyday for 15 to 30 minutes after the yoga asana practice. You will learn different mantra’s, meaning of mantra’s and will have self realization after chanting the mantra’s.
This class will help you to understand the anatomy and physiology of human body. This class really will help you a lot to understand our body and how asana can effect on our human body. This class will be for 1 or 2 hours and we will cover 10 or more topics in this session. Classes will taken by lead teacher or Dr. Umag Gupta depands on availability.
Shatkarma is ancient Sanskrit word shat means six and karma means action. Shatkarma are six internal purifications and cleansing techniques in ancient time which is used by yogi’s to do more purifications of body and take out all the toxin from body. So you will practice shatkarma everyday 15 to 30 minutes.
Mudra’s are symbolic gesture which can be practiced with fingers and thumbs. Mudra’s can helps to cure different diseases like arthritis. Mudra’s can helps in mental ailment, bring more concentration power, bring happiness, develop the flow of vital energy in body, produce heat in body. There are a lot of mudra’s like gyan mudra, apaan mudra, vayu mudra etc and each mudra has different benefits. So this session will tech you different mudra’s and bring awareness about mudra’s. Banda is a technique which is used in hatha yoga There are three main bandha’s plus the mahabanda which is a combination of them. Every bandha is muscular lock and can be practiced seperatly and you can combine all three banda’s together and this called mahabanda or great lock. Three main banda’s are mula bandha, uddiyan bandha, jalandhara bandha.
This class will help you to understand about basics of ayurveda, and what you have to follow to be healthy and happy according to ayurveda.
In this session of 200 hour yoga teacher training you will learn how to teach yoga to a person and this class will also enrich you with the true attributes and skills that every Yoga teacher must posses for better life and progress.

Eligibility Criteria of 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training

Before joining Rishikesh Yogi Ashram’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in USA Course, you have to fulfill this eligibility criteria.

  • The age of Applicant should be between 18 to 60 years age at the time of taking admission.
  • Teachers will be English so the applicant should be able to speak, read and write basic English.
  • The applicant must be physically healthy and fit.
  • The Applicant must provide a Medical Certificate if you are going through any treatment.

  • 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm Mantra chanting/ meditation
  • 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm Self study
